Board of Trustees

The MCNS Board of Trustees, meeting regularly during the academic year, is the oversight body of the school.

The Board is responsible for the school's financial stability, major changes in both the physical and program structure of the school, and long-range planning and goals.

The Board establishes tuition and reviews faculty salaries and benefits. It also coordinates the investment policy of the school's endowment and makes decisions about tuition reduction for families who demonstrate need.

Members are elected for three-year terms. Members have expertise in early childhood education, accreditation, finance, not-for-profit NYC organizations, and specialized instruction.

The MCNS Board benefits from representation from the local community, Columbia University Medical Center physician and scientist faculty and administrators, and parent representation.
