Admissions Criteria
Medical Center Nursery School is open to children aged two through five years.
Children should be able to participate in the activities of a regular, developmental early childhood program. All children must have a physical examination, and required immunizations before the date of entrance.
Admissions Process
Parents should complete and submit the application along with a $60.00 Application Fee. Following receipt of the application, Tricia, the Director, will send an email to arrange an individual family tour of the facility.
MCNS is an ISAAGNY member school and follows the admissions calendar of that organization. General admissions notifications will be emailed to families on February 29, 2024. Families who are interested in applying to MCNS after that date are encouraged to inquire. MCNS adopts a rolling admissions policy when there are spots available.

You can pay the non-refundable $60 application fee with this link to PayPal. You may prefer our Zelle account, tuition@mcns.org. You can also mail a check along with your application to us at MCNS, 60 Haven Ave B1, New York, NY 10032.
Financial Aid
To apply for Financial Aid, please go to the TADS site. Create an account to submit your application.
Financial Aid applications for the 2025-26 school year should be submitted to TADS by January 9, 2025. Awards amounts will be included in acceptance letters for the 2025- 2026 school year which are issued with contacts on February 27, 2025. Early Decision applications must be submitted and all documents uploaded to TADS by November 27, 2024.
Please be advised that financial aid awards are determined by need as well as the amount of aid we have available each academic year. Typically, awards fall between 10% and 18% of the annual tuition. MCNS often has funding for families applying after admissions deadlines have passed.
MCNS has spots in the 24-25 school year for families using the ACS Child Care Voucher
Admissions Decisions
As a member of the Independent School Admissions Association of Greater New York (ISAAGNY), Medical Center Nursery School follows the notification dates determined by ISAAGNY. For the 2025-2026 school year, general admissions applications are due by January 9, 2025. Notifications will be sent via email on February 27, 2025. Parent responses are due March 6, 2025.
After that date, MCNS will continue to accept applications for enrollment while spots remain open.
MCSN follows the ISAAGNY Principals of Good Practice during the admissions process.
Early Notification
Families with siblings and/or those currently affiliated with Columbia University/CUMIC have the option of participating in an early notification process. If a qualifying family chooses to be included in the early decision process for the 2025-2026 school year, applications must be submitted by Friday, November 15, 2024. Financial Aid applications must also be submitted by November 15, 2024. Acceptance notifications will be delivered on December 6, 2024. Parents must respond by noon on Friday, December 13.
